When
his biker brother is killed in a gang slaying, Mike (Emmanuel Olea) decides
to take his sibling's place and seek vengeance. But then girlfriend Claudia
(Ana Martin) becomes pregnant. Mike attempts to take her and leave the
cycle life behind. However, he is further incensed by Claudia's rape and
death at the hands of the rival gang.
This
one is generally considered one of the best Mexican biker movies (along
with SEVEN
IN SIGHT Siete en la Mira and INTREPIDOS
PUNKS), obviously inspired by the onslaught of similar American
fare in the wake of Easy Rider (1969). Filmmaker Rafael
Villasenor [born Rafael Elías Villaseñor Kuri in 1951] made
this film shortly after working as the assistant director for Alejandro
Jodorowsky's HOLY
MOUNAIN. He would helm another 50 Mexican movies before retiring
in 2005.
