Two high school students, Mac and Nardi, fall in love but Mac's mother doesn't approve of the relationship. The boy gets sent abroad to stay with his aunt for awhile. He is not aware of girlfriend Nardi being pregnant. In his absence, Mom forces the girl to have an abortion at a back-alley clinic. She dies during the procedure. When Mac returns home, he immediately visits Nardi's place [with no knowledge of the tragedy which has taken place] and he falls dangerously under the spell of the girl who is now a vengeful ghost.

Based on the legendary traditional Thai ghost story of Mae Nak (also see GHOST OF MAE NAK, NANG NAK and Paul Spurrier's sleazy P), this is a 2018 version of the ghost wife tale. For this one, director Yimsomboon adds a new Romeo and Juliet theme and a nasty abortion subplot.
