Kong detectives (including the boss played by Danny Lee) try to detect
the identify of a dismembered male body found wasting away inside a water
tank on the roof of an apartment building. [Spoiler:]
The victim proves to be a rapist and wife-beater named Wai Keung.
Now the investigators must try to figure out who killed [and dismembered]
this vile thug, among a growing list of suspects.
This
ultra rare Category III crime drama was produced by Danny Lee's Magnum
Productions in 1995, but distribution became a major obstacle
[due to the excessive sex and violence] after the Chinese government imposed
strict censorship rules in the wake of the HK takeover. As a result, few
genre fans have ever seen this movie. The cast is quite good, including
a jaw-dropping sleazy performance by Mai Kei as the villainous Wai Keung.
The roles of the detectives are colorful and diverse, played by a number
of accomplished Hong Kong actors including Fan Siu-Wong (yes, RIKI-O
himself, see pic below right). Much of the technical staff also
worked on Danny Lee's DR
LAMB. The director is On Dik who some critics insist is actually
Danny Lee under yet another pseudonym.
