In this dark sex thriller [some sources have called it a Giallo], unethical businessman Gabriele Luciani has a series of mistresses while his sickly wife remains bed-ridden. His wife's health can't improve because Gabriele is secretly ignoring the doctor's orders by not providing the necessary meds. Simply, he'd rather she die. Then he would inherit her fortune. And he'd be able to bed his other ladies without any complications. Among his lovers is Anna (Femi Benussi), his wife's nurse. But she has pangs of guilt over the indiscretion. As Anna cools her feelings towards Gabriele, he meets and decides to marry Roberta (Erna Schurer). But she has plans of her own and they don't include living with Gabriele happily ever after.

Alfredo Risso directed only a few of movies. He is best appreciated for this one and the subsequent BLOODSUCKER LEADS THE DANCE. He was better known as a supporting character actor, costarring in 100+ motion pictures between 1939-86. Mr Rizzo died in September 1991 at age 89.
