Edwige Fenech plays Gianna Amicucci, the central character in this Italian sex comedy. Gianna has long hoped to join the police force [but she is woefully ill-prepared as most of her 'experience' comes from reading pulp detective novels]. Yet, she DOES achieve her goal thanks to influence from police regent Alberto Moretti, who lives in the same swanky apartment complex. Essentially, she manages to become Agent Gianna Amicucci because - after all - her beauty exceeds her ineptness. However, despite her shortcomings, Gianna is obviously dedicated to her job. This determination is often compromised by her naiveté (i.e., she accidently exposes the mayor by reporting his car as stolen when it's parked next to a famous whorehouse).

Despite a variety of numerous zany assignments, Gianna's story really begins when she tries to locate the mother of an abandoned youngster. This takes Gianna undercover as a prostitute (in a blonde wig) which leads her to a wild party at the home of a notorious International drug dealer, and that accelerates everything into a smashing car-chase through the streets of Rome.

Of note, this is a rare uncut English subtitled print (running 90 minutes instead of the more prevalent 79 minute version). It does include the notorious played-for-laughs rape scene and the tasteless 'forced gay seduction' sequence. Of course, this print also includes nudity removed from the mainstream version.
