(519) DAYS OF BLOOD (1990) [Dias De Sangre]
(519) DAYS OF BLOOD (1990) [Dias De Sangre]

Argentinean title CHARLY: DIAS DE SANGRE [Charly: Days of Blood]]
also known as: BLOODY DAYS

director: Carlos Galettini
starring: Norman Briski Fabian Gianola Martin Guerrero Julierta Melogno

Charly is an introverted young man who has become more and more detached since the accidental death of his brother. His father is very concerned about his son's mental state, but he's even more worried that Charly isn't dating and getting laid. Dad convinces one of Charly's only friends to arrange a party weekend of drugs and debauchery at the family vacation house. What could go wrong? Everything, of course. Once the group of young people reach the house in the outskirts, Charly's nightmares begin to intensify as the body count intensifies.

This is a movie for the gorehounds. It's filled with excessive graphic violence and naked young women. Obviously influenced by the rash of slasher films popularized in the USA during the '80, Argentinean director Galettini manages to up-the-ante with his horrific nastiness. Stylistically, this film is similar to other South American productions from the same time period, like RITUAL OF DEATH and SATANIC ATTRACTION.

An Argentinean film; Spanish language with optional ON/OFF English subtitles; fullscreen uncut (85 min.) version in DVD encoded for ALL REGION, playable on any American DVD machine; Extras include theatrical trailer.
